Meeting was called to order at 3:27 pm by Cassie Ayers, President.
Introduced 6th grade Student Council (StuCo) Officers:
Discussion on Safety Patrol. Student Council Advisor will speak to Mrs. Leija about inside Safety Patrol. These monitors would stand in the Elementary Hallway and in the overhang areas by the Elementary Gym to help direct student traffic in the morning and afternoon.
"Make A Diference Day": is on October 26 this year. We will celebrate on October 25 by wearing our Spirit Wear (red/white/blue) and remember to serve others. Little things, like saying "thank you" to our teachers and support staff/cafeteria/custodians/office/library, etc will be our way to "make a difference". When you stop and think about it, when was the last time YOU said "thank you" to the Cafeteria Staff?
Upcoming Event: Veterans Day/November 11. We will cut our hearts in bundles of 25 per class. Students will write family member names on the hearts and we will take the small hearts and create a BIG heart for the entrance of the building.
Also in November: donate wrapped candy to Ft. Sam/Center For The Intrepid, to share with wounded soldiers. The candy needs to be wrapped, not loose, like jelly beans. Think: candy canes, candy corn, small "fun-size" chocolates...
Reminder: We do not do fundraisers or go on field trips. Our mission is to serve others before we serve ourselves.
Representatives: Do not forget to share this information with your classmates.
Our next meeting is scheduled for October 21, 3:30-4:15 pm. Location: the SFA Room across from the Nurse's Office.
Meeting Adjouned at 3:53 pm.
