Recognizing the ever-increasing importance of digital technology in the lives of students, Lackland ISD has implemented the iViSiON 1:1 iPad initiative.

Students in grades K-12 will be utilizing iPads in the classroom. In grades 6-12, Lackland ISD will issue iPads to students for use at school and at home. As a district, we view this initiative as a way to move towards being more innovative in our classroom instruction, to integrate 21st century skills into our curriculum, and to provide inspiration and motivation to increase student engagement in and out of the classroom.

Students and parents: Putting your iPads in a backpack is not a good idea if your backpack is full of books. Screens have been damaged and broken. Please carry your iPad, even if you have a padded pocket inside your backpack.
