Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! We are happy to have you as a part of the Lackland Independent School District family. Our administrators, teachers, and staff are excited about the upcoming school year. We realize that our success here at Lackland is because of the outstanding partnership we share with our parents, students, and community. Our teachers have been busy this year attending conferences and professional development seminars to further their understanding in their content areas. We continue to recognize and appreciate the sacrifice that the parents of our students make every day as members of our Armed Forces. Therefore we strive to provide a learning environment that is safe and nurturing so that parents can concentrate on their mission. We welcome your input and presence in our schools because we realize that we cannot be successful without you.

We congratulate the students and teachers of Lackland ISD who continue to demonstrate academic excellence in the classroom. We are especially excited this year because both Lackland Elementary and Stacey Jr/Sr High School have been named "Exemplary" campuses for the 2009-2010 school year by the Texas Education Agency. In addition, Lackland ISD has been named an "Exemplary" school district, one of only two public school districts in Bexar County to achieve this honor for the 2009-2010 school year. All of this is possible because of the hard work demonstrated by our students, teachers, administrators, and support personnel.
