Approaching the one-mile mark, Stephanie finds herself in the number eleven slot and thinking she needs to move up. She did in fact move ahead of two other runners and thus qualify for the State Meet as an individual in the top ten. This will be Stephanie's second trip to the State Meet in Round Rock.

Tawnee Wimsatt had a pretty good race considering the last time she ran this course at the Ricardo Romo UTSA Invitational on September the 22nd, she clocked-in at some fifty-five seconds slower than her 13.28 finish today.

Megan Benoit also knocked off some time from her previous visit here in September as she ran a 13.34 today in her second trip to the Regional Meet.

Running in her last high school cross country race, Nicole Franz looks forward to bigger and better challenges as a graduating senior.

Freshman speedster, Shana Holmes got off to a late start but improved consistently over each meet she entered.

Not surprisingly, the first place finisher for the Stacey Boys' Team was also one of the hardest working and most consistent runners all season. Darrell Sanders ran one of his best races at the most important time, The Regional Meet, as he clocked-in at 19.20 over the three-mile course. Darrell started off the season as one of the slowest of the team members but with perseverance and determination, finished as one of the best and proved that today by his gutty performance.

Back in the race after a short absence from competition, Jovanny Ibarra was the second Stacey finisher today running a 19.31. Jovanny likes to run and doesn't mind putting in the long miles and hard work to get better - and it shows.

Also running hard today and bettering his previous course time by almost forty-five seconds was Cody Miller who can always be counted on to give his very best effort in every single work-out and every race entered.

And one advances - Stephanie Glatt has one more race left this season as she heads-off once again to Old Settlers Park in Round Rock for the UIL State 1A Cross Country Meet. The race will have the best from the four UIL Regions in Texas lining-up next Saturday (Nov. 10th) for the 10:50 a.m. start time.
