I was born in the land of Lincoln and grew up in Kansas, Texas, and Massachusetts.  I graduated from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science.  Upon graduation I was comissioned into the Air Force and flew helicopters.  I spent 20 years traveling the globe and retired here in San Antonio in 1997.  I completed UTSA's post baccalauriate teaching certification program in 2002 and taught 5th grade for a year at Medina Valley ISD.  I taught 8th grade Science in Hondo, TX for 5 years and am beginning my sixth year at Stacey Jr./Sr. High School.  I enjoy working classic and antique cars in my spare time.

I've been married for 36 years and have one son (23) who is attending college in San Antonio.  I live on a 130 acre ranch located in Yancey, Texas and my extended family consists of ten cows, three horses, two donkeys, five dogs, two cats, and thirty chickens.
