Homework/Grade Report Policy

Please meet homework deadlines. If you are unsure, ask about due dates and write that information in your Student Planner/Agenda.

Parents and students are encouraged to check the online grade book at least once a week.

Late Work /Missing Work Guidelines

  • First Quarter  (27 August-26 October 2013):  Students  have three calendar days (including weekends and holidays) to submit late/missing work.  Maximum grade will be 70% for the late turn-in.  No late/missing work will be accepted after the deadline.
  • Beginning Second Quarter (29 October 2013): Late/Missing Work will not be accepted for a grade.

Recovery Work Guidelines

Any math assignment turned in on time which received a grade lower than 70% may be retaken for credit as long as it is submitted within three days. Resubmitted work will receive a maximum grade of 70%

Most tests may be corrected and resubmitted in all classes, under the same guidelines listed for math assignments above.

Excused Absences

Students who are absent/excused from class should pick up and submit their missed assignments in a timely manner.  These assignments may be turned in for full credit within three calendar days (including weekends and holidays) of the student's return to school.  Assignments not submitted within three days are subject to the Late Work guidelines stated above.  It is the student's responsibility to meet timelines.

Most assignments are housed in eBackpack but your teacher may keep copies of select assignments in their classrooms.  Please become familiar with the location of this "self-help" service.

 Homework Help

"Homework Help" is  available daily from 7:00 am - 7:30 am.  Please stop by either Mrs. Torre or Ms. Street's rooms to take advantage of this opportunity any day you need it.
