As you enter sixth grade, be prepared to complete more assignments requiring the use of technology. We try to incorporate as much technology into the curriculum as possible in order to meet the middle school technology standards. Students are tested on these skills for the first time in eigth grade. Every student will have access to a laptop and will be expected to use it in a professional manner throughout the year. Every family must read and sign the Lackland ISD Technology Acceptable Use Agreement.
Moodle is a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) in which each 6th grade student will participate. In our moodle you will find the 6th grade curriculum, current units of study, key vocabulary your child should be studying, nightly homework assignments, class handouts and documents, samples of student work, and much more. Students will become more familiar with the moodle as the year progresses and they continue to use it on a regular basis. Parents, we encourage you to visit each class moodle at least once a week to keep in touch with what is happening in your child's classroom.
