| LISD has a five-member board of trustees, three civilian and two military members. Prospective members are nominated by the Base Commander and approved by Texas State Board of Education for two-year terms. The Base Commander appoints a non-voting Liaison Officer to the District. |

Mr. Brian Miller, President
Mr. Brian Miller is the 737th Training Group's Policy Advisor for Air Force Basic Military Training. He received an Associates Degree in Applied Science /Instructional Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 1989, an Associates Degree in Applied Science/Criminal Justice in the same year, and a Bachelors Degree in Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University in 1997. He entered federal civil service in 2005 after retiring with 23 years of active duty military service. "I'm extremely grateful that my children had the opportunity attend Lackland Elementary, it provided them with the confidence and educational foundation to succeed in life. It's a privilege for me to serve the Lackland community, LISD faculty and staff, and most importantly the children of our men and women of the military who serve our great nation.

Mr. Reynaldo Treviño, Secretary
Mr. Reynaldo Treviño is a Lackland AFB civilian employee who has served as electronic engineer for the HQ AIA/XPDS since 1991. Mr. Treviño earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering in 1978 from Texas A&I University in Kingsville . He earned his Professional Engineer license in 1992 and has been a member and President of the Society of Mexican American Engineers and Scientists. He was a member of the Pearsall ISD Board of Trustees for eight years. He is married and has three children. As a board member, he emphasizes to the Lackland students and community that "…Academics is a must in life…. Whether it's being an athlete, a UIL participant, a cheerleader, or chess player, whatever it is you do, do it right to support your well being. Everyone is important; just because you fail the first time does not mean you are not good at it; it just means you will have an opportunity to get it right the next time."
