- Enlisted in the U.S. Army, 1966-69 (Tours in Germany, Vietnam, and CONUS)
- LAPD officer from 1971-1993
- Attended Our Lady of the Lake University 1993-1995
- Graduated from OLLU with a BA in Social Studies Composite
- Taught at Lackland/Stacey since 1995
- Married (My wife is a teacher also!)
- Favorite hobbies: reading, movies, playing basketball & baseball, canoeing, hiking, and traveling
- Favorite animal: dog (We have two poodles, a toy and a miniature.)
