Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! I’m Salma Boyd and I’m excited to be at Lackland Elementary. I am originally from Abbeville, Louisiana; I moved to San Antonio in 2002 and made it my new home. I graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word earning a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (EC-4), a minor in Reading, and a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career here at Lackland Elementary in 2010. This will be my third year teaching, but my first year teaching third grade. Prior to becoming a teacher, I worked ten years in corporate America. I spent six of those years right here on Lackland Air Force Base. I am passionate about learning and teaching. I look forward to growing with you and your child this year! |
