![]() My father served in the Air Force for twenty years. I was born right here at Wilford Hall Medical Center. After living in Virginia for four years, we returned to San Antonio and lived 'over on the hill' at what used to be called Medina. I attended Lackland ISD schools from second grade through graduation in 1987. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Southwest Texas State University in 1991 and then returned to San Antonio where I taught math for four years at Taft HS in Northside ISD. In 1995, I came home to Lackland ISD! In my career at Stacey, I have taught Math Improvement, 7th Grade Math, Paced Algebra, Algebra I (regular and Pre-AP), Geometry (regular and Pre-AP), Precalculus Pre-AP, and Calculus AP. I earned my Master of Education in School Administration from Trinity University in 1999. From August of 2000 through June of 2002, I served as Vice-Principal of Stacey. After some soul-searching, I realized how much I missed being in the classroom and working with students on a daily basis, so I returned to the classroom in August 2003 when another math teacher retired. Teaching is my passion, and I am very happy to work here at Lackland. I have a special attachment to this place, and I want our current students to have as wonderful an experience here as I did! |
