Workers' Compensation

Lackland ISD provides all employees with workers' compensation coverage for work related injuries that occur in the course and scope of their employment.

The District currently uses Edward's Risk Managment as our third party claim's administrator.

All work-related injuries must be reported to thier campus principal and/or supervisor immediately.

What should I do if I'm injured at work?

  1. Immediately notify campus principal and/or immediate supervisor.
  2. Complete a DWC 1 (Report of 1st Injury). This form should be completed and turned into the campus principal and/or supervisor.
  3. If seeking medical attention call the Business Office (Payroll Coordinator or Chief Financial Officer) and let them know you are seeking medical attention.
  4. Submit  DWC 73 (Work Status Report/Doctor's Note) to principal, or supervisor and Business Office for return to work instructions.
  5. Keep all follow up appointments.
