NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS 2026-2027 BUDGET

The Lackland ISD Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 5:00 pm in the Board Room, of the Lackland ISD Administration Building, 2460 Kenly Building #8265, San Antonio, TX. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the school district's budget for the 2026-2027 school year. Public participation in the discussion is invited. Immediately following the Public Hearing, the Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting that will include in the agenda an action item to adopt the 2026-2027 budget. Additional information regarding the proposed budget is available on the school district’s website at www.lacklandisd.net.

Comparison of Proposed Budget with Last Year’s Budget The applicable percentage increase or decrease (or difference) in the amount budgeted in the preceding 2025-2026 fiscal year and the amount budgeted for the fiscal year that begins during the 2026-2027 tax year is indicated for each of the following expenditure categories:

• Maintenance and Operations – 6.87% increase

• Total Expenditures (Maintenance/Operations and Child Nutrition Funds) – 6.72% increase Fund Balance The following estimated balances will remain at the end of the current fiscal year and are not encumbered with or by a corresponding debt obligation, less estimated funds necessary for operating the district before receipt of the first state aid payment: • Maintenance and Operation Fund Balance – $7,848,126. • Interest and Sinking Fund Balance - $0 (District has no debt)
