ParentSquare

  • Student registration for current students returning for the next academic year typically begins in the Spring.  You can typically complete most if not all of this online.  To get started, go to our Student Registration Section.

  • ParentSquare

    The absolute best source of current event information is the ParentSquare app.  Information on where to download ParentSquare is located at the top of this page.  The online calendars on this website pull their information from the events posted on ParentSquare.

    Published Calendars

    Our published calendars are yearly, printable PDF calendars of the most significant events.  (Click on the Calendar tab to view.)  This calendar is useful for vacation planning, as it contains the start and end dates for the year and terms, and it highlights testing dates.  In other words, this is the calendar for you to print out and put on your fridge.   While the calendar is subject to change, we attempt to provide at least two years of calendars so that you have information with which to plan.

    Online Calendars

    Our online calendars on this website pull the information from ParentSquare.  If you are looking for the most current information, please see the information at the top of this page on how to download and set up the ParentSquare app.

    On our website, we have calendars for:

  • The district runs bus routes on the base for students residing more than two miles from the school campus.  More information on our school buses can be found in the Transportation section, including the Bus Route Schedule for the current academic year.

  • All LISD students are eligible for free breakfast and lunch during the 2023-2024 school year.

  • Bullying can be reported anonymously to our third-party school safety program, StayALERT.  Reports can be made via text or phone call to (206) 406-6485, completing an online form, or via sending an email.  StayALERT will then relay your information to school and/or district officials, as appropriate.  Information on the StayALERT program and their contact information is located on their website.

  • There are two primary sources of information regarding your child's academic progress, the Ascender Parent Portal and Canvas, our learning management system.

    Gradebook

    To view your child's grades and absences, parents can register to access the Ascender Parent Portal.  For more information on registering, please contact your campus registrar.

    Canvas

    To view information on upcoming assignments and due dates, parents can set up an account to observe their child in Canvas.  Information on how to access and navigate Canvas is found in our Canvas Parent Information course.

  • School Liaison Office (Third Party Partner)

    The Joint Base San Antonio School Liaison Office helps military parents with the transitions inherent in a mobile military lifestyle.  The office can help you prior to your PCS, upon arrival, while at your installation, and in preparation for your next duty station.

    MCEC SchoolQuest (Third Party Partner)

    MCEC SchoolQuest is a free online tool that helps parents of military-connected children to prepare for the frequent school moves and other unique stressors of a military lifestyle that could aversely affect their academic success.

    Tutor.com (Third Party Partner)

    Tutor .com, a service of The Princeton Review, provides no-cost online tutoring and homework help, 24/7, for US military and their families.  They are funded for this by the U. S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance.  Visit their website to create an account.

  • Clarity Child Guidance Center (Third Party)

    The Clarity Child Guidance Center is the only nonprofit mental health treatment center for kids ages 3 to 17 in South Texas.  Resources intentionally designed for service members and their families are available on their website.

    Military and Family Life Counseling Program

    The Military and Family Life Counseling Program have child and youth behavioral military and family life counselors that can support military familes on a variety of issues including school adjustment, deployment and separation, and behavioral concerns.
