Frequently Asked Questions

  • All current higher education students are eligible to apply.  Proof of current academic enrollment is required to participate in the program. Most of our students apply for the program around their sophomore year in college.

  • Summer

Our summer menternships are operated like traditional summer internships. They are full-time positions, and they last approximately 10 weeks during the summer.

    Academic Year

Our academic year internships are part-time positions that last for the duration of our district’s academic year. Hours are capped at 15 per week, so it is possible to do both the menternship and your coursework.

  • Sorry, we do NOT offer remote menternships at this time.  All menternships are in-person on our campuses in San Antonio, TX.

  • Our menternships last only as long as the stated duration of the menternship. For summer menternships, this is typically a 10-week period. For academic year menternships, the menternship ends at the end of the academic year.

Menterns are always eligible to apply for the next menternship. Preference is given to current menterns, but everyone must reapply for each menternship. This ensures that every placement remains a great fit for both the student and the program, while giving participants the chance to showcase their growth, reflect on their goals, and continue building their skills.

Menterns are eligible to continue working with us for six months after they graduate from their program. After six months have elapsed, the menternship automatically ends.
