Joint Base San Antonio School Liaison Office
Joint Base San Antonio School Liaison Office (SLO) helps parents ease the transition of the mobile military lifestyle and can assist prior to your PCS, upon arrival, while at your installation and when you prepare to depart for your next duty station. They specialize in serving military families with K-12 school age children and are able to provide information about the local school systems and community. The SLO will support parents and school districts with the Interstate Compact for the Education of Military Students interpretation, information on schools and boundaries, Home School, Deployment Support, and provide School and Community Outreach partnerships. These military dependent education professionals serve as a link between military families and all surrounding school districts ensuring maximum educational opportunities for academic success.

Dianna Fryer
Master of Education, Early Childhood Education, Texas A&M University
Dianna L. Fryer is the School Liaison Specialist for JBSA-Lackland, San Antonio, TX. She connects schools, families and communities to meet the unique needs of PreK-12 military connected students by serving as the installation point of contact for all local military child education matters. Ms. Fryer cultivates communication pathways between families, schools, community stakeholders, and the military by maintaining a working relationship with local schools and other agencies. She also customizes real-time solutions for military connected students facing transitional barriers and educational gaps by staying connected with agencies that provide education services to our military connected families.
Prior to her position as School Liaison, she was stationed at Kadena AB in Okinawa, Japan. During her tenure in Okinawa, she served as the Director for a large Child Development Program and Coordinator for a large School-Age Care Program. She was previously assigned at JBSA at the Randolph Child Development Center as a Training and Curriculum Specialist. She has extensive knowledge of education as a former DODEA and Public-School Educator
