Introduction

Our Vision
Lackland I.S.D. ignites a passion for life-long learning and empowers excellence.

Our Mission

Lackland I.S.D. provides a safe and nurturing environment where we recognize the value of individuals and collaborate to develop their unique abilities. We engage students through innovative experiences to spark creativity and empower students to learn, grow, and excel.

Our Beliefs

  • In providing equitable educational opportunities to meet the unique needs of our students.
  • In engaging students, staff, families, and the community in a collaborative environment of mutual respect.
  • In maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
“The mutual responsibility of families, schools and communities to build relationships to support student learning and achievement, support family well-being and the continuous learning and development of children, families, and educators. Family engagement is fully integrated in the child’s educational experience and is both culturally and linguistically appropriate.” Texas Administrative Code §102.1003.
Lackland ISD, in accordance with the House Bill 3 High-Quality Prekindergarten guidelines, created a High-Quality Prekindergarten Family Engagement Plan aligned with our belief in engaging students, staff, families, and the community in a collaborative environment of mutual respect. Our goal is for 100% family engagement by 2027 to ensure successful outcomes for our youngest learners in prekindergarten programs. Collaboratively, we all share the responsibility to encourage and support initiatives, activities, and practices that enhance the success of student learning and achievement.
