School Health Advisory Council Home

The School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) assists the district in ensuring that local community values are reflected in the health education program. The council will address the continued implementation of a coordinated health program including health education, physical education, health services, nutrition services, counseling, healthy school environment, staff health promotion and family/community involvement.

The SHAC meets at least 4 times during the school year. For more information on what the SHAC does please visit: Texas School Health Program.

Community members and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend scheduled SHAC meetings. This year the SHAC will be reviewing the district's Local School Wellness Policy.  Agenda's will be posted on the SHAC website a week before the scheduled meeting.
